Law for Energy Transitions Africa (LETA) will formally launch at the end of August 2026, marking a new public chapter for a coalition that has been working behind the scenes since 2021. The launch introduces LETA’s website, Resource Hub and Legal & Policy Tracker to a wider audience of civil society partners, policymakers and funders across the continent.
Founded through a collaboration between Natural Justice and Earthjustice, and now made up of seven steering-committee organisations, LETA provides technical legal support to advance equitable, renewables-dominant power systems in Africa. The launch will bring together partners from Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and beyond to set out a shared agenda for the year ahead.
